The School of Civil and Water Resource Engineering is one of the four schools within the Institute of Technology at Woldia University, which was established in 2019. The School has become independent since it grew from a Faculty of Technology to an Institute of Technology. The School of Civil and Water Resource Engineering was created by combining the previous four departments: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, and Water Resource and Irrigation Engineering.
In 2011, the university expanded its academic offerings by establishing the Department of Civil Engineering, which is dedicated to equipping students with the technical skills and knowledge essential for careers in design, analysis, and manufacturing within the engineering field.
