The School of Computing was established in 2019 based on the establishment of the Institute of Technology. Before this year, the Institute of Technology was the faculty of technology with 9 departments. When the faculty of technology grows up to institute of Technology, these 9 departments were clustered into 4 different schools. Among these schools, the School of Computing is the one, and it contained two departments, Information Technology and Computer Science. In 2021, the Software Engineering department was launched. Now, these three departments are teaching students in undergraduate programs in regular and night teaching mode. In addition, there are two postgraduate programs, MSc in Computer Science and MSc in Information Technology, in both regular and extension methods in the school.

About human resources and laboratory facilities, the school has senior faculty members who have rich experience in different specializations. Thus, it has 2 associate professors, 2 PhD candidates, more than 43 lecturers, and more than 20 academic technical assistant staff. The school also has more than 15 computer laboratories. Among these laboratories, 10 laboratories are well established with internet facilities.
